Burbank and Glendale run their own building departments. Further up the 210, the foothill communities bring steeper lots, rock, brush and narrow roads, so we plan equipment and truck size around each site.

Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley
Older Craftsman and Spanish homes, large estate lots and fire rebuilds in Altadena make this a very different area to work in. Historic review, design review and county permits all come into play depending on the address.

On the Westside we handle teardowns, interior guts and commercial tenant work where parking and traffic take as much planning as the demo itself. We also take jobs across the rest of the City of Los Angeles.

Permits Depend on Where the Property Sits
Neighborhoods inside the City of Los Angeles go through LADBS. Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Alhambra, San Marino and Culver City each have their own building departments. Altadena and La Crescenta-Montrose are unincorporated, so LA County Public Works handles permits there. We help sort out which office applies and what the job needs before work starts.
Older homes in all of these areas may need asbestos or lead testing before demolition. We will tell you what's required for your project.
