County or City: Check the Address First
La Crescenta-Montrose is an unincorporated community, so most properties get permits through LA County Public Works. Some nearby streets, including parts of Montrose, are inside Glendale city limits, and those go through Glendale. Getting this right first saves time later.
Older homes may need asbestos or lead testing before demolition, and we'll tell you what's required.
Rocky Soil, Slopes and Stone Walls
The Crescenta Valley is built on rocky ground washed down from the mountains. Digging, grading and breaking out old footings here often means hitting boulders. Our mini excavators with breakers and skid steers handle rock, and we haul it out with dump trucks and trailers.

- Yard grading and leveling
- Footing and foundation removal
- Rock and soil export
Foothill Teardowns and Additions
Many homes here are older houses that have been added onto over the years. Owners rebuilding or remodeling often need a full teardown or the removal of an addition, garage or patio cover. We plan around steep driveways and narrow residential streets. We fence the site, spray water for dust and leave the ground graded and clean for the next phase.

Concrete, Pools and Patios
Many Crescenta Valley homes have old pools, concrete patios and driveways that owners replace during a remodel. We break out concrete and pool decks, sort material for recycling and leave the area ready for new hardscape or landscaping. Where access is tight, we break material by hand and carry it out.
Brush, Debris and Hauling
Being close to the mountains means brush and fire safety are a real concern. We clear old structures, debris piles and junk from yards and haul everything away. For heavy brush clearance alone, ask us what we can take on.
