Hillside and Canyon Demolition
Neighborhoods like Chevy Chase Canyon, Verdugo Woodlands and Adams Hill have homes on sloped lots with long driveways, terraced yards and retaining walls. We use Kubota mini excavators with hydraulic breakers that fit tight hillside sites and keep loads sized to what the street can handle.
Water spray keeps dust down on exposed slopes.
Older Homes and Apartment Interiors
Glendale has plenty of 1920s and 1930s Spanish-style homes and a large stock of apartment buildings. Remodels in both mean careful interior demolition. In apartment buildings, we keep stairwells and walkways clear and work within allowed hours so tenants aren't disrupted more than needed.

Glendale Permits and Testing
Glendale is its own city, so permits go through Glendale's Building and Safety section, separate from LADBS. Older homes may need asbestos or lead testing before demolition, and we'll tell you what's required for your job.
Concrete, Patios and Back Yards
On flatter streets and hillside terraces alike, Glendale homes often have old concrete patios, cracked driveways, brick planters and pool decks. We break them out with jackhammers, skid steer breakers or a mini excavator, depending on access. Then we haul the material away and leave the ground ready for new hardscape or landscaping. Concrete and brick are recycled when possible.
Getting In and Out of Glendale
The 134, 2, 5 and 210 make Glendale easy to reach, but canyon roads and hillside streets can be narrow, with tight turns and parked cars. We check access before sending trucks and choose dump trucks or trailers to match the site. For hauling-only jobs, see our Glendale junk removal page.
