From one room to a full interior gut
Interior demo jobs range widely in size. A bathroom remodel might mean removing tile, a vanity, a tub and some drywall. A kitchen means cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring and sometimes a wall. A whole-house renovation can mean stripping every room down to framing, including ceilings and subfloor in some cases.
We have done full interior demolition on small houses around 1,000 square feet and on large homes where the drywall from the ceilings alone filled several loads. The scope changes, but the approach stays consistent.
What we remove
Your scope is confirmed at the estimate. Common interior demolition items include:
- Drywall, plaster and lath
- Ceilings, including popcorn and dropped ceilings
- Flooring: carpet, tile, vinyl, hardwood and underlayment
- Kitchen cabinets, countertops and backsplashes
- Bathroom tile, tubs, showers, vanities and toilets
- Non-structural walls and closets
- Interior doors, trim and built-ins
- Insulation in walls and attics as scoped
Protection and dust control inside the home
Before demo starts, we lay Ram Board on floors that stay and hang plastic sheeting over doorways and finished walls. That keeps dust in the work zone and protects surfaces along the path to the door.
During the work, crews clean as they go with shop vacuums and brooms, and the space is swept and vacuumed before we leave. Kitchen demo in particular can spread fine dust through a house, and customers have told us they were glad we took it seriously.

Stripping to the studs
A full gut to the framing gives your contractor and inspector a clear view of the wiring, plumbing and structure. It is the starting point for most major remodels and for homes recovering from fire or water damage. Once the walls are open, we pull nails and leave the framing clean so the next trades can start without extra prep.

Interior demolition after fire or water damage
When a home has been through a fire, a burst pipe or a flood, wet or smoke-damaged materials often have to come out before anything can be repaired. That usually means cutting out drywall to a set height, pulling soaked flooring and removing damaged cabinets. We work to the scope set by your contractor or adjuster and keep the remaining structure clean for drying and inspection.
Fitting into your remodel schedule
Interior demolition is usually the first thing on a remodel schedule, and delays here push back every trade after it. We give a realistic timeline at the estimate, show up on the agreed day and keep the crew size right for the job. When we finish, the space is clean enough for your framer, plumber or electrician to walk in and start.
Older homes and testing
Plenty of LA homes have older drywall compound, ceiling texture, flooring or pipe wrap that may need testing before it is disturbed. We will tell you if your home may need testing and what is required before interior demolition starts.
